SUMMARY TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT
We may price works based on information received for which we may feedback or request further detailing to the best of our professional understanding. We may otherwise record Provisional Sums or Qualifications where deemed necessary. Preparation of our estimate is dependant upon the detail and clarity of information received and adjudication is the responsibility of the client, who will be deemed to have verified/checked all information we have provided to their own satisfaction. For pricing purposes our estimate where provided, will have precedence over any other documentation. Where advised of any conflicting detail or omissions we will seek to rectify quickly towards resolution.
We do not offer design work. Unspecified items will be treated:
A. From client design intent instruction where provided.
B. By offering item where appears fit for purpose eg. based from design intent / employers requirements or to relevant building regulation standard [this will be offered as an unconfirmed item which will normally require approval by a designer/engineer not provided within our services]
C. In the absence of any other appropriate alternative we may record using a Provisional Sum amount.
We will not be responsible for any costs or liquidated damages related to information provided by our services including from mis-interpretation or the provision of intended timescales, unclear or inaccurate measurements provided to us, lack of information or site survey. Whilst we will verify any related third party enquiry responses to the best of our understanding we will not be responsible for any errors therein.
We will provide a professional service within the remit of our stated agreement. In case of CDM contracts, we will not act as Principal Contractor unless otherwise explicitly agreed.
